Getting Started

How do I create a Smile Maids Account?

Go to the top right of the homepage and you will see the Login button. Follow the link and you will be directed to the account page where it will ask for your login details. Below these two boxes is a link to ‘sign up now’. Just enter your email and password and you’re ready to book your first cleaning.

Do you service my area?

We service all of the greater Bakersfield area.

Do you bring your own cleaning supplies, products and equipment?

Yes, all our cleaners bring their own supplies, products and equipment.

Can I request special tasks or extras?

Yes. If you haven’t made a booking yet, go to booking form and add the extras. If you want to add an extra to an already booked clean, send us an email and we’ll process that for you.

What is included in a standard cleaning?

In all areas of the home:

 

  • empty the trash
  • vacuum and mop all the floors
  • dust all the surfaces

 

In the kitchen:

 

  • wipe the fridge (outside)
  • clean the counter tops
  • wipe all appliances
  • clean the sink
  • clean the stove (outside)
  • wash and dry any dishes
  • wipe down dishwasher, washing machine
  • wipe trash can

 

In the bathrooms:

 

  • clean counter tops
  • scrub toilets (inside and out)
  • wipe bathroom cabinets (outside)
  • clean sinks
  • rinse and wipe bath tubs
  • clean window ledges

 

In the bedrooms:

 

  • quick de-clutter of the floors
  • make beds (request new linen)
  • wipe table tops

What is included in a deep clean?

A deep clean is a thorough clean of your whole home, recommended for first time customers.

 

In all areas of the home:

 

  • Clean the baseboards
  • Clean light switches
  • Dust furniture
  • Dust/clean blinds and window ledges
  • Empty the trash cans
  • Vacuum and mop all the floors
  • Dust all the surfaces
  • Clean the ceiling fans
  • Clean wall pictures/mirrors etc

 

In the kitchen:

 

  • Clean inside microwave
  • Clean stainless steel
  • Wipe oven (outside)
  • Wipe the fridge (outside)
  • Clean the countertops
  • Wipe all appliances
  • Clean the sink
  • Clean the stove
  • Soap scum/lime scale removal from splash back tiles
  • Lime scale removal on faucets, shined
  • Wipe down doors

 

In the bathrooms:

 

  • Clean mirrors
  • Clean counter tops
  • Scrub toilets (inside and out)
  • Wipe bathroom cabinets (outside)
  • Clean sinks
  • Rinse and wipe bath tubs

Manage Your Account

How do I log into my account?

Click the “Login” link on the top right of the homepage, and enter your details.

How do I change my password?

If you click Login in the top right hand-side of your screen it will take you to your account page. Click “Forgot your password” and follow the instructions for resetting your password.

How do I change my address?

Login to your account using the login section of the website. Hover over your email address and click the “My account” link. Then update your address. Otherwise just email us and we’ll just change it.

How do I change my credit card?

Login to your account using the login section of the website. Hover over your email address and click the “Billing info” link. Then update your details. If you email or call us we can also do it for you.

How do I book my first appointment?

Simply go to the booking page and follow the instructions.

Pricing & Policies

How much will it cost?

If you go to the booking form, enter the number of bedrooms and bathrooms in your house, add any extras and you’ll get an immediate quote.

Can I apply a coupon to an existing appointment?

Yes, you can apply a coupon to an existing appointment by logging into your account and clicking your name in the top right hand corner. You can then select “redeem voucher” and enter your code. The system will automatically apply the code to your next appointment. You can not apply your coupon to past appointments.

Trust & Safety

Can I trust my cleaning professional?

Yes, all our cleaners have undergone background checks and have had face-to-face interviews. We only pick the most experienced and best cleaners around. Both us and the cleaners themselves are fully insured.

What happens if something goes wrong during my appointment?

The Smile Maids cleaners are insured up to $1,000,000 so we can assure you that if there is an incident (this has never been an issue) then we will completely refund your clean and handle the process with your help and input.

Is my billing information kept safe and secure?

Yes it is, our payment technology is provided by Stripe. Their SSL encrypted, PCL compliant system is completely secure and trusted by companies worldwide. You can read more about them on stripe.com.

Do the cleaning professionals go through a background check?

Yes, all of our cleaners are checked with goodhire.com.

What is your 200% satisfaction guarantee?

At Smile Maids we guarantee that you will be delighted by the results of your clean. If for some reason you are not just let us know within 48 hours and we will send a cleaner back out to clean your house free of charge. If you are still not happy then we will not charge you for your clean. You are not charged until after the clean so there is no risk when you book an appointment.
